A wide, well-maintained paved path runs parallel to Pacific Coast Highway on one side and the ocean shore on the other. Twelve miles long in its entirety, the strand begins in Sunset Beach, and then travels 8.5 miles through Huntington Beach all the way to the Newport Peninsula.
